This client is a leading global investment research and consulting services company that provides timely information on changing financial markets to institutional money managers.  Investment firms worldwide utilize their publications, charts and studies, and they have one of the largest institutional followings in the securities industry.

OPPORTUNITY:
We seek a highly experienced, qualified individual to lead a team of two technicians and be ultimately responsible for a heterogeneous internetwork of Unix servers and Windows NT/2000 workstations. This individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be capable of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management and coworkers.

The ideal candidate should be at ease configuring mail systems, Linux kernel configuration, security fundamentals, web server administration, NIS, NFS, DNS, DHCP, LP/LPR/CUPS printing, Samba, Windows 2000 server administration and Windows 2000 Active Directory.   A reasonable level of C and Perl programming experience is dictated by our Unix environment. Familiarity with network administration, including switches, routers and VPNs is crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of working system administration experience including some form of Unix and MS-Windows variants
- B.S. in Computer Science 
- MCSA/MCSE for Windows 2000
- Cisco CCNA Certification

Desirable Credentials:
- RedHat Certified Systems Engineer
- Cisco CCNP Certification
